The OTTER 500 represents the first Sea Lion model assembled in Canada! We build them on Vancouver Island and Powell River, using a mix of domestic and imported parts.
The OTTER 500 is a 2WD unit and has a forward and reverse gear. It charges in 2 hours and is designed to run all day. It sports a 24V motor paired to a LiFePO4 battery. The OTTER 500 comes stock with a 6 cubic foot steel tray capable of carrying 500 lbs – uphill. It tops out at 5 km/hr forward and 3.5 km/hr in reverse, with a hand-operated brake for steep descents.
Choices include a flat deck configuration, 12V charging, LED lighting, and ball hitch/receiver options. As always, all Sea Lion products are available in custom colours by request.
The OTTER 500 features an all-steel front bumper bar and easy-dump geometry. The 2-wheel design means extra stability, and less risk of side tip over. All models come with black wheels, frame and hardware.
The battery comes with a 3 year warranty. All other major parts and components are warrantied for 1 year.

The OTTER 1000 is an upcoming 4WD version with a 1000 lb weight capacity and power dumping. The OTTER 1000 is available for pre-order now, with delivery of the first units expected in late September.
